Salt and Saline Tattoo Removal
This Salt and Saline removal method is simple and safe, predominantly used in the removal of permanent cosmetics. However, it is equally effective on permanent tattoos depending upon the residing ink depth and, in Winchester, non-laser tattoo removal via this method is a popular choice.
The main ingredient is Sodium Chloride (salt); when the sterile salt solution is implanted into the unwanted tattoo ink via specialised tattooing techniques, the osmotic process is induced. This successfully attracts the fragmented ink particles, drawing them from the skin. Commonly used within the initial stages of permanent cosmetics correctional work, to lighten ill-placed, badly shaped cosmetic enhancements, this method has many advantages.
With this method of non-laser tattoo removal, Winchester clients will find it works on all skin types and incurs minimal scarring. It is not colour selective, meaning it is equally effective on all ink colours. As with other tattoo removal treatments at Clinique Allure, this method requires multiple sessions.
Normal activities may be resumed immediately following the procedure as there will only be slight tenderness, swelling, and redness which will generally subside within 36 hours. The healing duration will take approximately 7-14 days, during which some fine crusting will occur, which will naturally flake away. It is important that this crusting is not touched or removed prematurely and that the additional aftercare guidelines are adhered to. We will provide full aftercare instructions both verbally and in hard copy following non-laser tattoo removal in Winchester.
