Hyaluronic acid dermal fillers are a naturally derived injectable gel that safely and instantly creates subtle volume while simultaneously hydrating the tissue. Dermal filler gel comes in varying compositions of cross-inked particles, resulting in varying gel densities, making it suitable for use in specific areas of the face, hands, and body to mimic natural tissues such as bone, cartilage and subcutaneous fat, which have been affected by the ageing process. And/or augment facial features for a particular desired result.

Your practitioner will then explain the intended treatment procedure in detail to ensure it is fully understood and expected. After Your Treatment

Dermal Filler treatment is suitable for the majority of people who desire to turn back the hands of time by restoring volume and definition loss caused by ageing or wish to augment a particular facial feature to be more pleasing to them.

Each treatment is individual, and results will vary depending on the receiving patient, the amount of dermal filler used, and the area being treated.
Generally, one treatment session is required. However, this depends on the area treated and the final result desired.
Should hyaluronic acid fillers need to be removed, for any reason, a dissolving enzyme called Hyaluronidase is used. This enzyme breaks down/liquifies the gel filler fairly quickly.
As with all treatments, a standard, comprehensive pre-treatment consultation is mandatory to determine treatment suitability and to discuss all relatable matters regarding the treatment in question.
In preparation for the treatment itself for best results and prevention of adverse reactions;
- Avoid caffeine on the day of treatment
- Avoid alcohol for 24 hours before treatment
- Keep well hydrated on the day of treatment
- Ensure you have eaten prior to treatment to avoid feeling faith
The results from dermal filler are virtually instant, and there is very little downtime – Many clients walk straight out following treatment looking and feeling refreshed.
Most hyaluronic acid dermal fillers last 6-18 months and wear off slowly. If desired, additional treatment on an ongoing basis during this time period can be received to maintain optimum effects. Typically, the filler will wear off more quickly in some areas than others.
Treatment with dermal filler is exceptionally safe when administered correctly by an experienced practitioner.
Allergic reactions to HA dermal fillers are extremely rare, as hyaluronic acid is a natural substance found in the body.
While complications are rare, they can/do happen. These can range from a bruise or swelling that lasts a little longer than anticipated to asymmetry to more serious issues like allergy, infection, and vascular occlusion. Thankfully, these more serious complications are extremely rare. Generally, patients will experience temporary mild busing, swelling, or tenderness around the treated area.
All dermal fillers used at Clinique Allure are fully reversible/dissolvable, meaning they can be dissolved easily in the highly unusual event of a problem ever occurring.
Some minor discomfort may be felt initially, but this will settle quickly as the dermal fillers contain Lidocaine, a fast-acting anaesthetic. A number of pain management techniques will also be utilised to ensure client comfort during treatment.
If prone to bruising you may wish to use arnica to help reduce any bruising.
The downtime following dermal filler treatment is minimal. Full aftercare instructions will be provided accordingly.
Sure! Many men visit Clinique Allure to enjoy the benefits of dermal filler injections, either for skin textural improvement or facial contouring—such as increasing the width of the jaw and cheekbones, a procedure typically preferred as ‘ facial masculinisation’.
It is important to remember that natural collagen will form at the site of filler placement. Therefore, it will not revert to the pre-existing state for some time after treatment, approximately 3-5 years. This can be viewed as an added benefit to the treatment.
